Come dry with me... Let's dry away...

Ohhh! Look at me!

I'm ever so environmentally conscious, with my laundry-in-the-lounge!

On rainy days I have rows of clothes spread over my indoor lines like deflated kookaburras sittin' on the 'lectric wires (That's not even a good simile Lyndell! Gosh!)

My drying room is redolent of the fabric softener of the day, "Mountain Breeze", "Ocean Mist", "Woodland Glade" or "Sulphuric Lava Flow", and I get to be ever-so-gently brushed by my garments as I walk through them.

I like that we are saving energy as well, since we don't have a dryer our clothes are left to dry as we heat the rest of the house...

Who am I kidding? I'd KILL for dryer!

It's the dead of Winter. It's cold, it's wet, it's miserable and I just want dry, fluffy clothes! I want to burn a hole in the ozone layer above my house in the shape of that porthole that opens into the magical appliance that removes the dankness from my dresses, the sogginess from my socks and unsaturates my underwear.

Don't get me wrong! It's great to have ethics, and go about living your life without harming the environment. But when It's the middle of the night, and you have two kids vomiting all over their beds, and you're using the last of your moth eaten tablecloths as bedding, ethics don't dry your clothes!

I think tax time I'll be buying a dryer.

Could you live without your dryer during the Winter months? Or are you quite happy with a drying room inside?

a big hell no on that one. we were once so carbon neutral and high horsey but now I dry all our towels and sheets in the drier we bought last year and the clothes get hung on the clothes horses in front of the air conditioner set to heat at 31 degrees. It's all warm and fluffy here.

We get a lot of sunshine in the winter in SA so I could do without it...I wouldn't WANT to.

Ahh, ladies. I can't wait to join the dryer gang! Do you have jackets?

I do a lot of inside drying but I Love a Good 5 minute Fluff and Fold. Thanks for showing us your drying room of deflated kookaburras.

Feel free to join my under my ozone layer hole. We have our dryer running 24/7 - well, it seems like it anyway. Long story short, I'd be totally stuffed without my dryer. Problem is, it's too small, so come tax time I will be embarking on a NEW! BIGGER! BETTER! dryer.

I don`t have a dryer but wish I had one. During rainy season and in winter I have to dry inside- bathrooms here sometimes come with a drying function in the bathroom but ours doesn`t have one. Our new house DEFINITELY will though and when I upgrade the washing machine I will probably get one that has a built in dryer as well.

I hate the smell of the clothes after drying them inside but sometimes there is just no other way.

Feel for you though!

I love my dryer. It is my best friend. I couldn't live without it. Occasionally I'll get all environmentally friendly and my house will resemble a chinese laundry but then I'll always resort back to the good, old faithful dryer!

I've just written a post about drying, too... I don't use my dryer often, but when it's been raining for this long, what choice to I have?
